Raised in Oklahoma, Carrie is a painter, printmaker, design educator, and architect. For the last 12 years her studio practice has been based in Bushwick, Brooklyn. She currently works out of an international artist studio at Konstepidemin in Göteborg, Sweden.
Carrie’s work lives in the space at the intersection of art and architecture and explores cultural conceptions of home and belonging. Her paintings and monotypes investigate presentations of façade, control, inclusion and exclusion; they are portraits of home.
